Residance started with Ivana and a feeling she could not shake.
After taking dance classes in New York, she kept thinking about the kind of space she wished existed back home. Ivana was not a trained dancer, but she loved music, choreography and the feeling of moving like nobody was watching. What she wanted was simple: a place where regular people could learn, mess up, laugh, try again and feel safe doing it.
So she brought the idea to Jonathan, her longtime friend and the smartest person she knew. With his business expertise and her vision for branding, music and community, they turned the idea into something real.
Residance opened its doors in 2019 and quickly became more than a dance studio. It became a place for people who wanted movement to feel fun, nostalgic, expressive and a little less serious.
After years of changes, kids and life happening, Ivana and Jonathan are back at the forefront of the business with a clear goal: to bring Residance back to its original vision.
